Huddle AppHuddle App's answer:
Huddle was built to solve a problem that most SMBs face but few platforms address directly. Small and mid-sized teams need real internal tools, dashboards, service portals, and request systems, but the options available are either too simple (consumer-grade no code tools), too expensive (ServiceNow, Salesforce), or too technical (Retool). Huddle was built to fill that gap: a professional-grade app builder that any operations or IT team can use, connected to the data they already have, without migration, without code, and without enterprise pricing
Huddle App's answer:
Small and mid-sized businesses with 50 to 500 employees that are running critical parts of their operations on spreadsheets, disconnected SaaS tools, or a patchwork of shared documents. The primary roles are operations managers, IT managers, and HR managers who need real internal tools but do not have developer resources or enterprise software budgets. Secondary audience includes agencies and consultants building internal tools for clients.
Huddle App's answer:
Huddle sits in a gap that most platforms miss. It is more powerful and data-connected than simple no code tools like Softr or Glide, which are limited. Yet it is significantly more affordable and faster to deploy than enterprise platforms like ServiceNow or Salesforce. And unlike developer-oriented tools like Retool, it requires no code, no SQL, and no ongoing developer involvement to build or maintain. A non-technical operations manager, IT lead, or HR manager can have a working internal portal live the same day.
Huddle App's answer:
Huddle is fully data agnostic. It connects directly to the data sources a team already uses, including Google Sheets, Airtable, Excel 365, HubSpot, Salesforce, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and more, without requiring any data migration, duplication or integration development. The data stays where it is and Huddle builds a dashboard, app, form, or portal on top of it. Most no code platforms require data to live in their own database or in a specific tool like Airtable. Huddle does not. Teams connect their existing data, drag and drop widgets onto a canvas, and publish a working internal portal in minutes.

Are you thinking Thread would be an open-source alternative to Hex (https://hex.tech)? I was thinking of doing something like this last year, but I couldn't figure out a good business model. Google Colab is cheap (free, $10 per month) and Hex isn't that expensive (considering the compute cost they need to cover). If you focus on local, you're going against VS Code and Jupyter. Both are free and very good. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
