Hello Gubby starts as an AI receptionist that answers every call, 24/7, and goes far beyond an AI answering service. It is an AI platform for customer operations that runs the entire front desk for small and mid-sized businesses. It isnot your typical AI receptionist, answering service, or chatbot. It is a platform that provides an AI workforce that captures leads, qualifies them, books appointments, and runs follow-up across phone, website voice, chat, and video, so no lead slips through and no customer is forgotten. Most tools do one thing. A receptionist. An answering service. A chatbot. A video widget. Hello Gubby brings it all under one platform, powered by a single proprietary conversational voice AI that knows your business inside out. It engages website visitors face-to-face through your personal video or AI avatar, handles inbound and outbound calls, SMS, WhatsApp, DMs, and re-engages customers who forgot about you.

@imqueue features and specs

  • TypeScript-first design
imqueue is built with TypeScript at its core, providing strong typing, better IDE support, and compile-time error checking, which helps catch bugs early and improves the developer experience when building microservices.
  • RPC-style messaging abstraction
It simplifies inter-service communication by abstracting away the complexities of message queue protocols, allowing developers to make calls that feel like local function calls while the underlying complexity of message passing is handled by the framework.
  • Built on RabbitMQ
By leveraging RabbitMQ as its message broker, imqueue benefits from a mature, battle-tested messaging system with reliable delivery guarantees, clustering support, and a large ecosystem of tools and documentation.
  • Code generation and tooling
imqueue provides CLI tools and code generation capabilities that can automatically create service clients and boilerplate code, reducing repetitive work and helping maintain consistency across microservices.
  • Microservices-focused architecture
The framework is specifically designed for building distributed microservices systems, offering features like service discovery and structured communication patterns that address common challenges in distributed system design.

Possible disadvantages of @imqueue

  • Smaller community and ecosystem
Compared to more mainstream microservices frameworks, imqueue has a relatively small user base and community, which can mean fewer third-party resources, tutorials, Stack Overflow answers, and community-contributed plugins or extensions.
  • Limited documentation depth
While basic documentation exists, some users report that advanced use cases, edge cases, and troubleshooting guides are not as thoroughly documented as more established frameworks, requiring more trial-and-error or direct code inspection.
  • RabbitMQ dependency lock-in
Being tightly coupled to RabbitMQ means teams must adopt and manage this specific message broker, which could be a limitation for organizations that prefer or already use alternative messaging systems like Kafka, NATS, or AWS SQS.
  • Learning curve for framework-specific patterns
Developers need to learn imqueue's specific conventions, decorators, and architectural patterns, which adds an additional learning curve on top of understanding TypeScript and general microservices concepts.
  • Potential scalability concerns for very large systems
As with many queue-based RPC frameworks, extremely high-throughput or very large-scale distributed systems may encounter performance bottlenecks or require significant additional configuration and tuning of the underlying RabbitMQ infrastructure.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Hello Gubby and @imqueue.

What makes your product unique?

Hello Gubby's answer

Most AI tools answer the phone and stop there. Hello Gubby engages leads across every channel including phone, website voice, chat, and video. It is one platform with an AI receptionist, AI chatbot, AI voicebot, and video that greets website visitors face-to-face with your own video or an AI avatar, answers calls, books appointments, follows up by text, and updates your CRM. Most businesses pay for a receptionist, a chatbot, a video widget, and a booking tool separately. Hello Gubby replaces all of them with one AI.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Hello Gubby's answer

Hello Gubby starts as an AI receptionist and goes far beyond. Businesses can engage their leads and callers on the phone and website with full context across every conversation. They can also add their own personal video to bring a human touch, so visitors see a familiar face and build trust with their leads and customers.

What's the story behind your product?

Hello Gubby's answer

Hello Gubby is the child of its founder, Yogesh Abichandani (Saahil). Yogesh spent over a decade advising businesses and kept seeing the same pattern. Small businesses lose customers in the gaps between their tools. A lead comes in on one channel, the handoff never happens, the follow-up falls through. He also grew up in a small business family that could not afford enterprise software. He built Hello Gubby for the businesses that actually need it, priced so an owner can try it on a Friday afternoon.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Hello Gubby's answer

Service-based small and mid-sized businesses that want to enhance their team, not replace them. Everyone in AI talks about replacing people. We do the opposite. Hello Gubby handles the front desk work that gets dropped, so the team can focus on the work only they can do. Home services, real estate, property management, salons, legal, and any service business where missed inquiries and slow follow-ups cost real revenue.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Hello Gubby's answer

Hello Gubby works with small and mid-sized service businesses across home services, real estate, cleaning, and insurance. We are early-stage and gradually gaining strong traction.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Hello Gubby's answer

Hello Gubby is built on a modern AI and voice infrastructure stack. Best-in-class providers for real-time voice, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and large language models, layered on top of our own proprietary orchestration and customer operations logic. The platform integrates with most CRMs and business management tools.
