MediumMedium is recommended for avid readers seeking a variety of topics ranging from personal development to technology. It's also ideal for writers looking to publish their work to a broad audience and potentially earn revenue through the platform's Partner Program.
Based on our record, Medium seems to be a lot more popular than GZDoom. While we know about 3083 links to Medium, we've tracked only 9 mentions of GZDoom. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
This is quite impressive, especially considering the speed. But there's still a ton of room for improvement. It seems it didn't even memorize the game despite having the capacity to do so hundreds of times over. So we definitely have lots of instead for optimization methods. Though who knows how such things would affect existing tech since the goal here is to memorize. What's also interesting about this work is... - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
GZDoom for Doom and many other games running on the same engine. Source: over 3 years ago
For modern source port check GZDoom https://zdoom.org/index or Chocolate Doom (for higher framerates and stuff) - https://www.chocolate-doom.org/wiki/index.php/Chocolate_Doom. Source: over 4 years ago
Also, if you want to make a shooter like those, you don't really want the original Build engine. What you want is a modern open source implementation of those engines. For Duke-like games you can try https://www.eduke32.com/ (Ion Fury was made on this) , for Doom try https://zdoom.org/index or https://dengine.net/. Source: over 4 years ago
I don't know, but if you want a retro game you might as well use a retro-engine. Ion Fury (2019) used the EDuke32 engine and there are also modern versions of the original Doom engine, like GZDoom - with modern games like Brutal Doom or SIGIL (2019). Source: over 4 years ago

The tests are in no way scientific. Console vs PC is a red herring since UE games still stutter on consoles, people just notice that less because most games run at 30 fps anyway. You can read Unreal's own blog posts on this and they'll actually explain that this is mostly down to their material system (and game logic/scripts reaching into it) being designed to create nearly infinite shader variations on the fly in response to arbitrary world/game... - Source: Hacker News / 4 days ago
I'm no expert on haplogroups either, but cursory googling seems to indicate they are far more numerous and nuanced than the late victorian, scientific-racism derived classifications used today - i.e.: black, white, asian etc. But we don't need to be specialists in population genetics to observe that human cultures interbreed. We can't reliably correlate visible biomarkers with genetic origin, especially in... - Source: Hacker News / 4 days ago
I think it's intresting to read about the guy who made yolo, take a look at his website and later, his thoughts about the monster he may have created. https://medium.com/@graham.wallington/the-evolution-of-yolo-joseph-redmons-departure-and-the-ethics-of-computer-vision-66d9b75f0eca https://pjreddie.com/darknet/yolo/. - Source: Hacker News / 5 days ago
