Growlance came out of the daily grind of winning work on Freelancer.com: hours spent refreshing the project feed, rewriting near-identical proposals, and losing track of which clients replied. Existing tools meant handing your proposals, client data, and platform credentials to someone else's cloud and paying a recurring fee for the privilege. Growlance was built to remove the busywork without that trade-off โ€” a private, local-first desktop app that uses your own API keys, drafts proposals for you to review, and keeps you in control of every bid.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Growlance is a cross-platform desktop app built with Electron and a React + Vite frontend, backed by a local Node.js/Express service and an SQLite database (via Prisma). It integrates the OpenAI API for proposal drafting and the Freelancer.com API for projects and bidding, and is packaged for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
