There are some alternatives like https://grep.app or https://sourcegraph.com/search if you want fast live search, but at the end of the day these are generally expensive services to provide, especially for free anonymous users, so you should probably at least accept that service providers can and do change things like this. Not completely sure about your situation but if you choose the "buy now, pay later" option you could have a 21 day test period so you can see if it works for you. Personally, it seems it would fit you perfectly and if the S pen doesn't have the same notification feature you can use a tile to keep track of it if it's ever lost. I hope this helped!
