GraphQL is a query language combined with a server-side runtime. It was created by Facebook in 2012, and soon after, they released the specification to the public and made a NodeJS implementation open source. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
Definitely they should include D4M and GraphQL [1],[2]. Not only D4M can cater for structured relational data, it also suitable for sparse data in spreadsheet, matrices and graph. It's essentially a generalization of SQL but for all things data. There's also integration of D4M with SciDB [3]. In modern software architecture, Jamstack separates the frontend from the backend through API consumption. Traditionally, this has been achieved with RESTful APIs, which enable data exchange between server and client. However, REST often causes performance issues, such as over-fetching and added complexity. A client may need only a small subset of data, but a REST endpoint might return an entire dataset, which... - Source: dev.to / 11 months ago
Before we dive into GraphQL, it's crucial to understand the challenges it was designed to solve. Traditional API architectures like REST often struggle with two pervasive and inefficient patterns:. - Source: dev.to / 12 months ago
Congrats. From my experience, Augment (https://augmentcode.com) is best in class for AI code context. How does this compare? - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
Augment Code Works in VS Code and JetBrains. Built for coders. Can execute code, run terminal, find issues, and analyze the code. Find performance optimization ideas in production. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
At Augment (https://augmentcode.com) we were one of the partner who tested 3.7 pre-launch. And it has been a pretty significant increase in quality and code understanding. Happy to answer some questions FYI, We use Claude 3.7 has part of the new features we are shipping around Code Agent & more. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
IMHO, I would agree with you. I think chat is a nice intermediary evolution between the CLI (that we use every day) and whatever comes next. I work at Augment (https://augmentcode.com), which, surprise surprise, is an AI coding assistant. We think about the new modality required to interact with code and AI on a daily basis. Beside increase productivity (and happiness, as you don't have to do mundane tasks like... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
