Grain Issue's answer
Flat subscription for the full client job (book โ proof โ deliver) on a branded subdomain from day one. Card payments via Stripe Connect with no platform cut. Branding is not gated behind a high tier. Export-friendly by design; lock-in is not the business model. Honest gap: we are not a lab auto-fulfillment marketplace.
Grain Issue's answer
If you are stacking a gallery + booking tool + site and do not need lab print autopilot, Grain Issue replaces that stack from $15/mo. Money from deposits and invoices goes to your Stripe. Clients get magic-link access, proofing, and full-res delivery under yourstudio.grainissue.com. If you need WHCC-class lab fulfillment or a mature product store, stay on Pixieset or Pic-Time for now.
Grain Issue's answer
Portrait and session photographers (families, headshots, maternity, and similar studios) who want one client portal for booking, deposits, proofing, and delivery. Secondary: wedding shooters evaluating gallery + business tools who care more about portal UX than guest-heavy vendor galleries.
Grain Issue's answer
Originally built for myself after living the photographer tax: separate bills for a site, a gallery, and booking, plus clients stuck on phone ZIP downloads. Grain Issue is the portal I wanted for my own studio work: book, proof, deliver, under one brand, without a platform taking points on card payments.
Grain Issue's answer
Early-stage product. Primary users today are independent portrait and session studios on trial or early paid plans. We do not publish a public logo wall yet. Happy to share anonymized use cases on request.

Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare R2, Hono, React, TanStack Router, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Drizzle ORM, PostgreSQL, Better Auth, Stripe Connect.
Based on our record, ShootProof seems to be more popular. It has been mentiond 1 time since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
If nothing bad turns up, then just make sure you have a way of securing payment BEFORE you hand over the photos. There are a variety of websites that do this. Photoinvoice.com and shootproof.com are two I have used. Although if you already have other paying clients I'm guessing you already have a system for that. Source: over 3 years ago
