GoSocialMockup is a free web-based suite of social media mockup generators for X/Twitter posts, Instagram posts, and iMessage conversations.

The editor renders a live preview that updates on each keystroke. The tweet generator supports verified badges (blue, gold, gray), reply threads, quote tweets, image attachments, view and engagement counts, custom timestamps and source labels, and four appearance modes: Light, Dim, Dark, and a Classic mode reproducing the pre-2023 Twitter interface โ€” including the absence of view counts and bookmarks, neither of which existed before 2022.

Output is a 2x-resolution PNG without a watermark, either downloaded or copied to the clipboard.

Rendering is entirely client-side. There is no account system, no file upload and no backend; text and images are processed in the browser and are not transmitted.

The tools are free for personal and commercial use, with no paid tier. Generated images are fictional and intended for parody, design mockups, storytelling, and media-literacy education.

@imqueue features and specs

  • TypeScript-first design
imqueue is built with TypeScript at its core, providing strong typing, better IDE support, and compile-time error checking, which helps catch bugs early and improves the developer experience when building microservices.
  • RPC-style messaging abstraction
It simplifies inter-service communication by abstracting away the complexities of message queue protocols, allowing developers to make calls that feel like local function calls while the underlying complexity of message passing is handled by the framework.
  • Built on RabbitMQ
By leveraging RabbitMQ as its message broker, imqueue benefits from a mature, battle-tested messaging system with reliable delivery guarantees, clustering support, and a large ecosystem of tools and documentation.
  • Code generation and tooling
imqueue provides CLI tools and code generation capabilities that can automatically create service clients and boilerplate code, reducing repetitive work and helping maintain consistency across microservices.
  • Microservices-focused architecture
The framework is specifically designed for building distributed microservices systems, offering features like service discovery and structured communication patterns that address common challenges in distributed system design.

Possible disadvantages of @imqueue

  • Smaller community and ecosystem
Compared to more mainstream microservices frameworks, imqueue has a relatively small user base and community, which can mean fewer third-party resources, tutorials, Stack Overflow answers, and community-contributed plugins or extensions.
  • Limited documentation depth
While basic documentation exists, some users report that advanced use cases, edge cases, and troubleshooting guides are not as thoroughly documented as more established frameworks, requiring more trial-and-error or direct code inspection.
  • RabbitMQ dependency lock-in
Being tightly coupled to RabbitMQ means teams must adopt and manage this specific message broker, which could be a limitation for organizations that prefer or already use alternative messaging systems like Kafka, NATS, or AWS SQS.
  • Learning curve for framework-specific patterns
Developers need to learn imqueue's specific conventions, decorators, and architectural patterns, which adds an additional learning curve on top of understanding TypeScript and general microservices concepts.
  • Potential scalability concerns for very large systems
As with many queue-based RPC frameworks, extremely high-throughput or very large-scale distributed systems may encounter performance bottlenecks or require significant additional configuration and tuning of the underlying RabbitMQ infrastructure.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing GoSocialMockup and @imqueue.

What makes your product unique?

GoSocialMockup's answer

Two things. First, it runs entirely in your browser โ€” the text you write and any avatar you upload are never sent to a server, because there is no backend to send them to. Second, it includes a Classic bird-era mode that reproduces the pre-2023 Twitter interface accurately, down to removing the view counts and bookmarks that didn't exist yet. Most generators either skip the old interface or draw it with modern elements still attached.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

GoSocialMockup's answer

Exports are watermark-free and full 2ร— resolution with no paid tier โ€” you don't hit an upgrade wall after the first download. There's no signup, so there's nothing to create and nothing to cancel. And because rendering is client-side, it works offline once loaded and gives you a genuine privacy guarantee rather than a policy promise. Three generators are included โ€” X/Twitter posts, Instagram posts, and iMessage conversations โ€” instead of just one.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

GoSocialMockup's answer

Social media managers and marketers mocking up post concepts for client approval, designers placing realistic social content into presentations and portfolio work, educators and journalists illustrating examples of how posts spread, and video creators and meme-makers who need a clean screenshot without a watermark across it.

What's the story behind your product?

GoSocialMockup's answer

I needed a tweet mockup for a design comp and found the existing tools all wanted the same trade: a signup, a watermark, or an upgrade prompt before you could download anything usable. Several also uploaded your text to a server to render the image, which is an odd thing to accept for a tool this simple. It turns out none of that is necessary โ€” a mockup is just HTML rendered to a canvas, which the browser can do on its own. So I built the version I wanted: free, no account, no watermark, and nothing leaves your machine.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

GoSocialMockup's answer

Astro for static site generation, Tailwind CSS v4 for styling, and vanilla JavaScript for the editor โ€” no frontend framework runtime ships to the browser. PNG export uses snapDOM to rasterise the live preview client-side. Hosted on Cloudflare Workers static assets. There is no database, no server-side rendering, and no analytics that tracks individuals.
