In case you don't want to use a local database file or need something more precise than a city's long/lat, I used the openroutservice api for geo coding in one of my recent projects. It offers 1.000 queries per day for free and has a python wrapper. Another option would be the Google maps API which offers 40k requests per month. Source: about 5 years ago

Does anyone have any experience of building a competitor price monitoring site like Prisync and Price2Spy? How would you go about doing this? Is it a case of building a custom scraper for each ecommerce site that you want to monitor, or is there a much more "simpler" way that will allow me to have access to a lot more sites?
