Faable Deploy is the application hosting half of Faable, a European cloud platform. Link a GitHub repository and every push is built and released automatically — no Dockerfile and no pipeline to configure.

It detects Node.js (Next.js, Express, NestJS, Astro, Vite), Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask) and PHP (Laravel and plain PHP) from the files already in the repository. A Dockerfile is the escape hatch for anything else, and is available on paid plans.

Every app gets a public HTTPS URL with a valid certificate on the first deploy, a built-in Web Application Firewall and autoscaling; custom domains are available on paid plans. Idle apps scale to zero and wake on the next request.

Everything runs on European infrastructure with full GDPR data sovereignty. The same subscription also includes Faable Auth, a multi-tenant OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect identity server with social login, MFA, SSO, passwordless and machine-to-machine tokens.

Plans: Free, Hobby at 15 EUR/month and Pro at 99 EUR/month, both plus usage.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Google Cloud Platform and Faable Deploy.

What makes your product unique?

Faable Deploy's answer:

Two things, and the second one is the harder to copy.

Hosting and identity in one subscription. Shipping an app and adding login are normally two vendors and two bills. Faable Deploy comes with Faable Auth — a multi-tenant OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect identity server with social login, MFA, SSO and machine-to-machine tokens — under the same plan. There is nothing to integrate between the two and nothing extra to pay.

It is European, not merely available in Europe. The company is Spanish and the infrastructure is entirely EU-based, so GDPR data sovereignty is the default rather than a region you pick in a US provider's console.

The rest is the table stakes, done properly: link a GitHub repository, push, and the app is live with a valid certificate, autoscaling and a Web Application Firewall in front of it — no Dockerfile to write and no pipeline to configure.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Faable Deploy's answer:

Three reasons, and one honest reason not to.

  • Your data stays in the EU by default. Most of the alternatives are US companies that offer a European region. Faable is a Spanish company running entirely on European infrastructure, which is a different answer when the question is data sovereignty rather than latency.
  • The free plan is a plan, not a trial. It does not expire: one free instance per project, ten deployments a day, and the app sleeps after 30 minutes idle and wakes on the next request. Fly.io removed its free tier in 2024 and Railway replaced its permanent free tier with a one-off trial credit, so "free tier" is worth reading carefully across this category.
  • Authentication is included, not another vendor. Faable Auth (OAuth 2.0 / OIDC, social login, MFA, SSO, machine-to-machine) is in the same subscription, so the usual second bill and second integration simply are not there.

And the honest limit: Faable Deploy runs long-lived server processes, not per-request edge functions. If your app is a frontend with a handful of serverless functions attached, Vercel and Netlify are built precisely for that shape and will feel more natural. If it is a backend that stays running — an API, a bot, a queue-backed service, an app with a database behind it — that is what this platform is for.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Faable Deploy's answer:

Developers and small teams shipping backends, not landing pages.

What people actually deploy here:

  • REST and JSON APIs in Python (Flask, FastAPI, Django) and Node.js (Express, NestJS)
  • Chat bots driven by inbound webhooks — Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Slack
  • Webhook receivers sitting behind another product, such as Stripe endpoints or GitHub Apps
  • LLM-backed apps and agents that stream their responses
  • Full-stack apps in Next.js, Astro or Vite, when they need a running server rather than static files

Two profiles dominate. The first is the solo developer or small team who wants a side project or a first product online without becoming their own platform engineer; the free plan exists for exactly that, and it does not expire. The second is teams based in the EU, or serving EU users, for whom data residency is something a customer or a procurement form will eventually ask about in writing — not a preference.

Who it is not for: if you need per-request edge functions, or a managed Kubernetes you can tune yourself, this is deliberately not that.

  • Why AI Apps Fail in Production (And How Google Solved It)
A Safe, Live Data Layer: Instead of testing in a vacuum with fake data, developers bootstrap ideas using Google AI Studio templates. These hook into a secure Google Cloud proxy server that grants pre-authenticated, read-only API access to live components - like playlists, videos, and channels. You get technical accuracy without any risk of polluting or crashing core databases. - Source: dev.to / 2 months ago
