Performance can be affected by server limitations and latency issues, especially for resource-intensive tasks.
  • Customization Limits
While it offers many configuration options, there may still be some limitations in customization compared to local development environments.

  • Device dependency
Since it relies on smartphone cameras, the quality is dependent on the user's phone hardware, which may vary greatly.
  • Requires USB connection
To function, Camo typically requires a USB connection between the smartphone and the computer, which can be less convenient than wireless solutions.

  • Tools that keep me productive
I don't have a fancy camera for streaming. I used to use my Logitech webcam, which was fine, but when I finally got a decent iPhone, I was like the camera on this is amazing! So I decided to use that for live streaming. Camo makes it possible to do that, and it has plenty of niceties like zooming, watermarks, filters, etc. - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago

Maybe try Reincubate Camo, a software to use the iPhone as camera which is independent of Apple's continuity. I used it on windows when working at home in 2020 and 2021 during pandemic, and it had quite good video quality superior to built in cam of my laptop. They have it also for MacOS. Maybe it's compatible with your MacBook Pro. Source: about 3 years ago
