Ravenote.xyz's answer:
Most AI note tools dump a one-shot summary and move on. Ravenote extracts the 3โ7 core concepts from every lecture, stores them in a spaced-repetition system, and quizzes you days later - contextually, using what you actually watched. It's a study buddy, not a summarizer. Works on both Udemy and YouTube with a single install.
Ravenote.xyz's answer:
Three reasons. (1) Retention, not just capture - spaced-repetition quizzes built on the SM-2 algorithm (the one Anki uses), so notes actually stick instead of rotting in a doc. (2) BYOK plus a real $9 Lifetime option - no subscription trap and no vendor lock-in on the AI bill. (3) One extension for both Udemy and YouTube - competitors force you to pick a platform.
Ravenote.xyz's answer:
Self-directed learners who take online courses seriously. Professionals upskilling in a new domain, engineers learning new stacks through YouTube tutorials, students supplementing formal school with Udemy. Anyone who has finished a course and realized a week later they remember almost none of it.
Ravenote.xyz's answer:
I kept completing Udemy courses and YouTube deep-dives, then realizing a week later I'd retained almost nothing. My Notion was full of notes I never reopened. I tried every note-taking extension I could find - they all summarized, none helped me actually remember. So I built the tool I wanted: transcript โ structured notes โ spaced-repetition quizzes - the full learning loop, not just the capture half. First version shipped April 2026. Still a solo project; still shipping weekly.
Ravenote.xyz's answer:
Chrome Manifest V3 extension, vanilla JavaScript (no framework bloat in the client). OpenRouter for multi-model AI access - Claude Sonnet 4.6 by default, switchable to GPT, Gemini, Llama, and others. Firebase Auth for Google sign-in. Stripe for Lifetime / Pro payments. SM-2 (the same spaced-repetition algorithm Anki uses) powers the scheduler. Marketing site is static HTML on Vercel. Product analytics via PostHog with session-level replay disabled and all input masked.

First, remote dev environments became table stakes. GitHub Codespaces, Gitpod, and self-hosted dev containers became how serious teams worked. Every engineer I know who ships to production now SSHs into a box they didn't provision, edits files with whatever editor is installed, and commits from a terminal. An IDE-bound agent requires you to also forward your IDE to the remote box, which most people don't bother... - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
