First, remote dev environments became table stakes. GitHub Codespaces, Gitpod, and self-hosted dev containers became how serious teams worked. Every engineer I know who ships to production now SSHs into a box they didn't provision, edits files with whatever editor is installed, and commits from a terminal. Everything else is an SVG. I am using a very cool tool and easy to use called DOTGRID for my svg graphics, you can find it on itch.io. Just be careful with the svgs because when importing you cannot scale them as vectors anymore, so a good rule of thumb is to generate svgs ~1.5-2x and use them at .5 scale so you have some wiggle room to scale them up without losing quality.
