Possible disadvantages of GameOrder.gg

  • Limited Depth of Content
The site tends to focus primarily on listing game orders without offering extensive reviews, gameplay details, or in-depth analysis of why certain orders might be preferred over others.
  • Potentially Incomplete Coverage
Not every game franchise may be represented on the site, and some lesser-known or niche series might be missing, limiting its usefulness for fans of more obscure games.
  • Limited Community Features
The site may lack robust community discussion features such as forums or comment sections where players can debate or share their own recommended play orders and experiences.
  • Subjective Recommendations
The recommended playing order can be subjective, and the site may not always clearly explain the rationale behind choosing one order over another, which could leave some players unconvinced.
  • Infrequent Updates
Newer game releases or DLC additions to existing franchises may not be promptly reflected on the site, potentially leaving the guides outdated for rapidly expanding series.

What makes your product unique?

GameOrder.gg's answer

GameOrder.gg is the only platform that combines franchise play orders, physical CIB collector prices, and delisting alerts in one place. Every other tool is a checker โ€” we give you the play order, the collector price, and warn you before games disappear from digital stores permanently.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

GameOrder.gg's answer

HowLongToBeat tells you how long. PriceCharting tells you what it costs. GameOrder tells you what order to play, what physical copies are worth owning, and which ones are about to vanish from digital stores. It's the only tool built specifically for franchise completionists and physical collectors.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

GameOrder.gg's answer

Retro game collectors, franchise completionists, and anyone starting a new game series who wants to know the right order to play. Also physical game buyers who want to know CIB prices and delisting status before purchasing.

What's the story behind your product?

GameOrder.gg's answer

Built out of frustration with having to cross-reference multiple sites to answer three simple questions: what order do I play this franchise, what are the physical copies worth, and is anything about to get delisted? GameOrder puts all three answers in one place, free, no signup required.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

GameOrder.gg's answer

Next.js 14, Supabase (PostgreSQL), Vercel, Tailwind CSS. Fully server-rendered, no tracking, no backend beyond the database.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

GameOrder.gg's answer

  • Retro game collectors tracking CIB values
  • Franchise completionists planning play order
  • New players starting series like Metal Gear, Zelda, or Kingdom Hearts
