I was pricing out a stack for a side project and kept hitting the same problem: every directory quoted the headline monthly price and stopped there. When I checked the prices myself, a lot of them were simply out of date - vendors had raised prices and the directories hadn't noticed.
The fix seemed obvious: read every price from the source, write down the date you read it, and publish the fees along with the sticker price. That's the whole idea. The site is built on a database rather than hand-maintained pages, so the verified data feeds the comparisons rather than being retyped into each one.
