  • Web3 and Blockchain Integration
The platform is designed with Web3 principles in mind, making it well-suited for developers building decentralized applications (dApps) that need reliable and censorship-resistant storage.
  • Simple API and Developer Experience
Objects.to offers a straightforward API that makes it relatively easy for developers to integrate decentralized storage into their projects without needing deep expertise in the underlying protocols.
  • Content Persistence
Data stored through Objects.to benefits from content-addressable storage mechanisms, helping ensure that files remain available and verifiable over time without risk of link rot or unauthorized modification.
  • Cost-Effective Storage
Compared to traditional cloud storage providers, Objects.to can offer competitive pricing by leveraging decentralized storage networks, potentially reducing costs for developers and businesses storing large amounts of data.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Mainstream Adoption
Objects.to is a relatively niche platform compared to established cloud storage providers like AWS S3 or Google Cloud Storage, which means fewer community resources, tutorials, and third-party integrations are available.
  • Performance and Latency Concerns
Decentralized storage can sometimes suffer from higher latency and slower retrieval speeds compared to centralized cloud services that have globally distributed CDNs and optimized infrastructure.
  • Reliability and Uptime Uncertainty
As a smaller and newer platform, Objects.to may not offer the same level of guaranteed uptime and SLAs that enterprise-grade centralized storage providers commit to.
  • Learning Curve for Non-Web3 Developers
Developers unfamiliar with decentralized storage concepts, content addressing, and Web3 paradigms may face a steeper learning curve when adopting Objects.to compared to traditional storage solutions.
  • Limited Documentation and Support
Being a smaller platform, Objects.to may have less comprehensive documentation, fewer support channels, and slower response times for troubleshooting compared to major cloud providers with dedicated support teams.

Analysis

An editorial look at what each product does well and who it suits.

FutureSelf
Objects

Overall verdict

  • FutureSelf appears to be a niche app/service focused on helping users visualize or connect with their 'future self' for goal-setting, motivation, and personal development purposes. Without hands-on testing or verified user reviews, a definitive quality judgment can't be fully confirmed, but the concept aligns with popular psychology-backed techniques for behavior change.

Why this product is good

  • Based on future-self continuity psychology, which research suggests can improve long-term decision-making and motivation
  • Offers a novel, engaging way to approach goal-setting compared to traditional to-do or habit apps
  • Likely designed with a simple, user-friendly interface aimed at self-improvement seekers
  • May incorporate visualization or AI-driven personalization to make future goals feel more tangible

Recommended for

  • Individuals interested in personal development and self-improvement techniques
  • People who respond well to visualization and goal-visioning exercises
  • Users looking for alternative or supplementary tools alongside habit-tracking or journaling apps
  • Those curious about psychology-based approaches to motivation rather than purely productivity-focused tools

Overall verdict

  • Objects.to is a niche link-in-bio and personal landing page tool. It appears to offer a minimalist way to consolidate links, but it has limited brand recognition compared to major competitors like Linktree, Bio.link, or Beacons, and detailed independent reviews or long-term reliability data are scarce.

Why this product is good

  • Simple, minimalist interface for creating a single landing page
  • Likely free or low-cost tier for basic use cases
  • Quick setup for consolidating multiple links in one place
  • Lightweight alternative if you dislike bloated link-in-bio tools

Recommended for

  • Individuals wanting a very basic, no-frills link page
  • Users experimenting with alternatives to mainstream link-in-bio services
  • Small creators who don't need advanced analytics or customization
  • Those prioritizing simplicity over extensive design options

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing FutureSelf and Objects.

What makes your product unique?

FutureSelf's answer

Most blockers show a hard wall. You close it, find a workaround, and you're back on YouTube in 10 seconds. FutureSelf doesn't block you; it pauses you. Every time you try to open a blocked site, you get a 10-second intercept with an honest question or a light roast. "You said you were working on X. Does Reddit have anything to do with that?" It's friction that makes you think, not rage. That psychological pause is what actually changes behavior.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

FutureSelf's answer

Freedom and Cold Turkey are hard locks, great if you want nuclear mode, bad if you want to build actual self-awareness. StayFocusd is timer-based with no intention layer. FutureSelf is the only blocker that knows what you said you'd work on and calls you out when you drift. It also covers both problems: daytime distraction (Day Mode with Pomodoro) and late-night fake productivity stealing your sleep (Night Mode). One extension, two modes, $19 once, no subscription.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

FutureSelf's answer

Knowledge workers, founders, students, and creators who already know they have a distraction problem, and have tried hard blockers that didn't stick. People who work on Pomodoro timers & want to protect their deep work during the day and their sleep at night. They don't need to be locked out. They need a moment of honest friction before they make a choice they'll regret.

What's the story behind your product?

FutureSelf's answer

I was staying up until 1 AM "working", but mostly doom-scrolling and convincing myself it was productive. I tried every blocker. Hard locks made me angry. Timer-based ones I gamed. What actually worked was a sticky note on my laptop that said: "is this worth tomorrow's energy?" I built FutureSelf to be that sticky note, but smarter, funnier, and automatic. It started as a sleep protection tool. Users asked for a day mode. Now it does both.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

FutureSelf's answer

Chrome Extension Manifest V3, vanilla JavaScript, Chrome Storage API, Supabase (auth and user profiles), Vercel (payment confirmation API), Dodo Payments (lifetime payment processing). No framework, intentionally lightweight.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

FutureSelf's answer

  • Early adopters from Hustle Club, a community of 100+ early risers and productivity-focused builders
  • Indie hackers and founders using it to protect deep work sessions
  • Students managing late-night screen time before exams
