It's not so bad if you're doing it professionally because you pretty much set it up once and you're done. But yeah it's annoying for one-off projects or if web dev isn't your main job. That said you can avoid it. I wrote a website using Fresh (https://fresh.deno.dev/) and that was the only thing I needed. Incredibly simple compared to the usual Node/Webpack mess. Plus you're writing in Typescript, and can use TSX.... - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
I would highly recommend giving Deno Fresh[1] a go, it has a lot of the same features as Next.js but I find it to result in a much cleaner codebase overall. This coupled with Deno's built in KV store and hosted on Deploy makes for quite a zen workflow to be honest. [1]: https://fresh.deno.dev. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago

Everything changed when I started "Tear Down and Rebuild" my blog. After many times of hesitating and pondering over technology choices, the name Fresh appeared. I say GUI because I think it's a lot easier but feel free to suggest CLI tools. The two tools I've found for this so far are Base (paid, SQLite only) and I just discovered DBeaver (free) today. Any others? Source: about 3 years ago
At client site to debug issues and deal with things like bulk product name changes https://sqlitebrowser.org/ For more involved work that I do at my shop or on my laptop, DataGrip by Jet Brains is great. Before I got fed up with Apple, I used https://menial.co.uk/base/ DataGrip’s benefit to me is mainly reworking a customer DB at the ER diagram level, then updating code to match. - Source: Hacker News / over 4 years ago
