Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing WorldClock.Me and Selfcommit.dev.

What makes your product unique?

WorldClock.Me's answer

It stands out with its visual timeline interface that shows business hours across all selected time zones simultaneously. Unlike text-based converters, our color-coded timeline instantly reveals optimal meeting windows where multiple locations overlap in working hours Key differentiators: (1) Live digital clocks updating in real-time for thousands cities. (2) One-click calendar export to Google, Outlook, and Apple Calendar with timezone details automatically included. (3) Shareable meeting links that preserve all timezone information. (4) Zero friction - no signup, no installation, no learning curve. It's the fastest way to go from "What time works for everyone?" to a scheduled meeting.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

WorldClock.Me's answer

The biggest selling point about this app is the simplicity and ease of use.

(1) Speed - visual timeline beats manual conversion every time. (2) Privacy - no account required, no data collected, cookie-based storage only. (3) Completeness - we don't stop at conversion; we handle scheduling, calendar export, and sharing in one flow. If you schedule 3+ international meetings per week, you'll save 15-30 minutes weekly versus traditional converters.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

WorldClock.Me's answer

Everyone!

e.g. The Remote Team Lead (managing distributed teams). The Global Freelancer (pitching clients, coordinating deliverables across zones). The International Sales Rep (booking demos).

What's the story behind your product?

WorldClock.Me's answer

I'm a solo developer who got tired of existing time zone converters. After the 100th time manually typing "9am PST to GMT" into Google, I decided to build something better. Started as a weekend project, evolved into a full-featured meeting planner. The core philosophy: respect users' time and privacy. That means no forced signups, no data harvesting, no feature paywalls. Just a fast, clean tool that solves one problem really well.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

WorldClock.Me's answer

Built with modern, performance-focused web technologies:

Frontend: SvelteKit (SSR framework), Svelte 5 (reactive UI), Tailwind CSS (styling) Hosting: Cloudflare Pages (global CDN, edge computing) Database: Cloudflare D1 (SQLite-based, serverless) APIs: Cloudflare Workers (timezone detection, city search)

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

WorldClock.Me's answer

We don't require user accounts or track individual usage, so we don't have "named customers" in the traditional sense.
