Don't do bootcamp. Start with something like https://freecodecamp.org and take a few lessons. Try to build something from that and see how motivated you are. If you see some progress and this thing still excites you, then may be find an engineer (a friend/co worker etc) who can guide you a bit as you continue to build something. I have a custom AWS stack paired with cloudflare. If I were just starting off I would use something like spinupwp which can give you something similar with a nginx/fastcgi setup which is what you want. Then run your dns through cloudflare to take advantage or their proxy/security/performance features. You will not need any "performance" plugins this way which are all heavy and garbage.
