Don't do bootcamp. Start with something like https://freecodecamp.org and take a few lessons. Try to build something from that and see how motivated you are. If you see some progress and this thing still excites you, then may be find an engineer (a friend/co worker etc) who can guide you a bit as you continue to build something. Right now, I'm using OpenLP , which practically does all I need (play videos, photos, and audio onto a big screen), my only issue is there is about a half second of delay between pressing on a clip and it playing, as well as no ability to cross dissolve between clips. Obviously not the biggest problem, but for a better flowing show, I would prefer something that does both of these. (Preferably free as well). Source: almost 4 years ago
