Brian Shaffer, a developer since the early 1990s, co-runs WeDoVids, a video production and photography studio in Dayton, Ohio, with Sarah Bennett. Like most studios, WeDoVids was paying for three separate tools to deliver client work: Frame.io for video review, Dropbox for file transfer, and a separate photo proofing tool for galleries — three logins, three bills, and a cost that climbed every time they added a team member or gave a client's art director their own seat.

In 2018, Brian built a single branded client portal to replace all three — combining photo delivery and video review under one login, with no per-seat pricing. WeDoVids ran on it for years, refining it across thousands of real commercial deliveries: weddings, commercial shoots, real estate, corporate video.
