What changed the direction was the emergence of capable AI models. Rather than bolting AI on as a feature, we rebuilt the product around a single idea: AI should participate in product decisions the same way a senior team member would — asking the right questions before writing a spec, scoring issues with reasoning, flagging where the team's assumptions might be wrong.
