Haystack Analytics might be a bit more popular than Fontshare. We know about 2 links to it since March 2021 and only 2 links to Fontshare. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.

I usually channel all the energy from the typo itch into looking at fonts and researching in local archives and books instead of buying fonts. This is mainly because I do work in Typo design. Of course, like you, sometimes I keep coming back to a certain typeface or font family that I yearn to use in graphic design or for a website.
