   Powerful Data Visualization Tool with a Steep Learning Curve

   I’ve used Tableau to analyze and present data for business reporting, and its strength is clearly in visualization. Turning raw data into interactive dashboards is fast once you understand how the tool works, and the end results look polished and professional.

   However, getting to that point isn’t instant. New users may struggle with calculations, data modeling, and performance tuning. Licensing costs are also high, which can be difficult to justify for smaller teams or individual users.

   Tableau works best for organizations that rely heavily on data-driven decisions and can invest time and budget into analytics. It’s not the easiest or cheapest option, but the output quality makes it worthwhile

You get 1:1 virtual coworking sessions with another user where you follow a friendly entry/exit protocol, tell each other what your plans are and how it went at the end, and keep your camera on the whole time while you work (usually muted)....   Maybe you can get your company to create a Focusmate group or a discord channel? If you haven’t heard of Focusmate you should definitely check it out. I wfh and absolutely could not do so without it. It gives me a fix for interaction but not too much to get me distracted and it also helps remind me to take breaks. Source: about 3 years ago

• Where to publish knowledge sharing on Tableau reverse engineering and data dictionary generation?

  Could anyone recommend what media I should approach to publish my work (internet or print). I could try the Tableau forum in tableau.com but it's not very active + Tableau may be unappreciative as my work overlaps with their (pricey) data management solution.   I just started learning Tableau because our dept is transitioning into Tableau from Power BI. Since I already have years of experience with Power BI I just went over their tutorials from tableau.com and got onboarded pretty quick.
