Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Flatfile and ImportFix.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

ImportFix's answer:

Housecall Pro users, administrators, consultants, virtual assistants, implementation specialists, and home-service businesses that create, clean up, migrate, or maintain Housecall Pro price books.

What's the story behind your product?

ImportFix's answer:

ImportFix was built around a specific operational problem: preparing price book data for Housecall Pro can involve spreadsheet formatting, mapping, validation, and data-quality issues that are difficult to spot before import. ImportFix turns that pre-import checking and repair process into a focused browser-based workflow.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

ImportFix's answer:

Next.js, React, TypeScript, and browser-based file processing.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

ImportFix's answer:

ImportFix is an early-stage product and does not yet have public customer organizations to list. The current focus is validating the workflow with Housecall Pro users, consultants, and home-service operators rather than claiming customer logos prematurely.

What makes your product unique?

ImportFix's answer:

ImportFix is a focused browser-local QA workflow for Housecall Pro price-book CSV/XLSX files. Its free Change Audit compares an original Housecall Pro export with an edited file, highlights supported risky changes and validation findings, and previews deterministic repairs before any paid corrected-file download. No Housecall Pro login or API key is required today. Files are parsed in the browser rather than uploaded to ImportFix servers. ImportFix is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Housecall Pro.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

ImportFix's answer:

ImportFix is designed for people who already have a Housecall Pro price-book file and want an independent pre-import check rather than a pricing engine or full migration service. The findings preview and before/after Change Audit are free; payment is required only to unlock a corrected CSV and validation report. No Housecall Pro login or API key is required today. ImportFix does not guarantee that an import will succeed, so users should still test with a small import in Housecall Pro.
