EspritCode is a SaaS conversion tool that transforms Figma designs into clean, semantic HTML and CSS code. It is built specifically for freelance web developers and small design studios working on corporate sites, service sites, and landing pages.

The core conversion engine handles the structural foundation of front-end implementation: Auto Layout becomes CSS Flexbox, Grid Layout becomes CSS Grid, and typography, spacing, and color values are preserved from the Figma file. EspritCode automates approximately 60-70% of mechanical implementation work, letting developers focus on the polish that requires human judgment.

Rather than claiming "pixel-perfect" reproduction (which CSS cannot deliver due to specification limits), EspritCode provides an honest "solid starting point" — saving boilerplate while preserving developer craft for the final implementation.

Free plan available with 5 conversions per month. Beta pricing in effect, with paid tiers from $10/month.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Figma Platform and EspritCode.

What makes your product unique?

EspritCode's answer:

EspritCode stands out for its honest positioning. Unlike most Figma-to-code tools that claim "pixel-perfect" or "faithful" conversion (which CSS cannot truly deliver due to specification limits), EspritCode explicitly provides a "solid starting point" — automating roughly 60-70% of mechanical implementation work and leaving the final polish to the developer.

The tool is specifically designed for web professionals working on corporate sites, service sites, and landing pages, not general app UI. Its output is clean, semantic HTML and CSS that developers can confidently refine, rather than bloated code requiring extensive cleanup.

By setting honest expectations from the start, EspritCode builds trust with experienced developers who can immediately see through inflated marketing claims.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

EspritCode's answer:

Most Figma-to-code tools target a broad audience with promises of "complete automation" or "production-ready output." EspritCode takes a different approach: it focuses specifically on freelance web developers and small design studios who handle real client work, and it's transparent about what CSS can and cannot do.

Three key differentiators:

  1. Honest positioning: We explicitly state that the tool handles roughly 60-70% of implementation work — the mechanical, repetitive parts — and that the final polish stays with you. No misleading "perfect reproduction" claims.

  2. Clean output: The generated HTML/CSS is designed to be a foundation you can confidently build on, not bloated code that needs heavy cleanup.

  3. Web-specific focus: Optimized for corporate sites, service sites, and landing pages — the kind of work professional web developers actually do, not just app prototypes.

If you value clarity, craft, and professional output over inflated marketing promises, EspritCode is built for you.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

EspritCode's answer:

EspritCode is built for web professionals who work on real client projects.

Primary audience: - Freelance web developers handling client projects from designers - Small to mid-size design studios implementing their own designs - Web agencies running multiple client projects in parallel - Front-end developers who want to skip the mechanical first stage of implementation

These are users who: - Have years of experience hand-coding from Figma designs - Understand CSS limits and don't believe in "magic" reproduction tools - Value clean, semantic code they can refine - Need productivity tools that respect their craft - Work primarily on corporate sites, service sites, and landing pages

EspritCode is not designed for non-developers looking for "no-code" solutions, or for prototype-only use cases. It's a productivity tool for people who code professionally.

What's the story behind your product?

EspritCode's answer:

EspritCode was started by an indie developer based in Japan who spent years hand-coding Figma designs into HTML and CSS for client projects. The pattern was always the same: the first few days of any implementation were spent on mechanical, repetitive work — translating Auto Layout to Flexbox, mapping typography values, copying color codes. The creative, judgment-driven work came only after this groundwork was done.

Existing Figma-to-code tools either produced bloated, unusable code or made promises that didn't match the reality of CSS. So the goal became to build a tool that:

  1. Handles the mechanical 60-70% reliably and cleanly
  2. Doesn't pretend to be more than it is
  3. Respects developer craft for the final polish

After six months of development, EspritCode launched as a beta product targeting international (English-speaking) markets. The landing page was recently refreshed to remove all "perfect" and "faithful" claims, replacing them with honest positioning that better matches what the tool actually delivers.

The tool is still evolving based on user feedback. Beta pricing is in effect while we refine the product.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

EspritCode's answer:

Frontend: - React with Vite and TypeScript - Tailwind CSS for styling - shadcn/ui component library

Backend: - Node.js with Express - PostgreSQL database via Prisma ORM - Docker for deployment

Infrastructure: - XServer VPS (Ubuntu 24.04) - Stripe for payment processing - Resend (via AWS SES) for transactional email - Google reCAPTCHA v3 for bot protection - FingerprintJS for device fingerprinting

Conversion Engine: - Direct integration with Figma REST API - Custom CSS generation modules - Mask processing (alpha, luminance, vector) - Semaphore-based parallel processing
