i started using this when i was in school. this was cool file manager+text editor it was all nice apart from the fact that if you don't understand any language apart from english then It will be difficult for you to understand it's advanced features like plugin's and all. i mainly used this for writing code.

Try QTTabbar. Adds a lot of features to windows explorer including tabs (disable tab bar if using with windows 11 with native tabs in explorer) After installation enable the toolbars from View -> Options (or use the enabler app on windows 11). Source: almost 2 years ago

About tabs, since Windows 7 I use tabs in the file explorer thanks to Qttabbar. Qttabbar tabs are customizable and more useful than native tabs. I had to use vivetool to permanently disable native tabs, and instead I use Qttabbar tabs. You can download tab skins within Qttabbar or you can create your own tabs.
