  • Samsung Embeds IronSource Spyware App on Phones Across WANA
No need to ditch Android. Fairphone exists: https://fairphone.com Their stock android is fine. If you want more privacy, installing e/OS/ is trivial. It blows my mind that anyone is concluding Samsung stuff is worth buying under any circumstances. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
  • What are you 100% certain is true despite having no evidence to confirm or disprove your belief?
That's pretty much what fairphone is doing and if right-to-repair is taken serious by the powers that be, so will all other manufacturers. Source: almost 5 years ago
  • Electronic waste from this year alone will weigh as much as Great Wall of China
Sadly no, Shiftphone is producing in China. The main reason is that basically all suppliers for parts are situated there and shipping them elsewhere would be more environmentally unfriendly. Like Fairphone and other similar companies they do have measures in place to ensure worker rights and environmentally friendly factories. Source: almost 5 years ago
