Possible disadvantages of ExpressJS

  • Learning Curve
While ExpressJS is straightforward, mastering the middleware pattern and effective usage can have a learning curve for new developers.
  • Callback Hell
Developers can encounter 'callback hell' due to nested callback functions, though this can be mitigated using Promises and async/await in modern JavaScript.
  • Lack of Convention
Unlike opinionated frameworks, ExpressJS lacks conventions, which can lead to inconsistent code structure and maintenance challenges across different projects.
  • Security
ExpressJS does not have built-in security features and relies on third-party solutions, requiring developers to be vigilant about applying best security practices.

  • Built for Clarity, Not Complexity
  • High-converting Landing Page

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

StartEase.dev's answer:

indie hackers and nuxt developers

What's the story behind your product?

StartEase.dev's answer:

I used to think success required 100x coding skillsโ€”so I chased the latest tech stacks:

React โ†’ Next.js โ†’ Remix โ†’ Vue โ†’ Nuxt

But in the end, I wasted years building countless apps that never saw the market.

In 2024, after being laid off, I decided I was done being just a developer.

I joined a digital marketing agency, running promotions for 30+ websites at once.

It was exhausting, but I mastered the skills that actually drive successโ€”marketing and conversion.

I looked around and saw a problem: SaaS boilerplates have lost their way.

Too much focus on dashboards. My SaaS doesnโ€™t need 10 login methods or a full admin panel. Users wonโ€™t pay for that. Too many unnecessary choices. 90% of users pick the same option. Less is more. Bad UI/UX kills trust. Conversion is about trustโ€”poor design drives users away for good. Nobody cares about landing pages. Most boilerplates help you ship fast, but they donโ€™t help you convert fast.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

StartEase.dev's answer:

Nuxt and Tailwindcss and Cloudflare and Resend and NuxtUI and Umami

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

StartEase.dev's answer:

  • indie hackers
  • nuxt developers
