Back to BTC ETFs for a second: So the main reason I wanted a bitbo.io replacement was bc I could see the discounts. After large drops in BTC, panic selling led to these stocks price falling to even lower than the corresponding amount of BTC. It still doesn't completely negate any discount, but just compare QBTC (-4.65% Discount) vs. GBTC (-20.75% Discount) for the effect that an escape hatch has.
