Most AI writing tools are chat windows that forget the book overnight, and novels fail for exactly that reason: context disappears after a few thousand words, so chapter forty stops matching chapter four. Entangled Text is built around long-form structure instead — story bibles, genre presets, chapter queues, revision history, continuity checks, and chapter locks that hold an approved passage in place when later chapters are regenerated. Work saves between sessions on every plan.

Writing happens in Story Studio, which is deliberately two tabs. Write covers premise and genre, outline review, chapter drafting, and polish. Ship covers everything after the draft: title and blurb, categories, cover helpers, readiness checks, beta-reader share links, and export.

AI is included rather than bolted on. Free, Pro and Ultra plans all draw on platform-managed Kestrel pools, so there is no pasting a personal OpenAI, Anthropic or Google key to write here. The free tier needs no credit card and paces daily usage so a shared queue stays fair; paid plans replace that daily gate with a monthly pool and a stronger prose model.

Alongside the app we publish a growing library of editorially reviewed fiction-writing guides and a set of free browser-based manuscript tools — filter words, adverbs, passive voice, dialogue ratio, readability, sentence rhythm and more — that run in the browser without uploading your manuscript. Authors are welcome to use them whether or not they ever sign in.

Entangled Text is a writing studio, not a reading platform. When the manuscript is ready, you own it and publish wherever you like.
