I use Mailgun myself, but https://emailoctopus.com might be worth a look. Like Sendy they also use Amazon SES, so should be pretty cheap. And then you wouldn't have to deal with hosting it yourself, unlike Sendy. They say they have a developer API so maybe you can get metrics from that. If you need something better than automated transcription, and you're willing to pay for it or you can convince your department to pay for it, then something like rev.com or gotranscript.com will provide you with much better quality for more money.
