I love how Matrix or its most popular client Element do not even get a mention. Source: about 3 years ago
The title undersells the change a bit in my opinion. By default, mastodon now encourages new users to sign-up on https://mastodon.social which has caused a bit of a kerfuffle in the fediverse. I think this is from `https://statcounter.com/` (?), but that site doesn't load for me at the moment, and there's no readme or description on that (1 star) repo, or its associated account. That partial data is very likely to regress to the mean over the rest of the month- though it's good to see high linux usage (on whatever metric this is tracking). - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
