Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Feature Set
Compared to more established online code editors like CodePen or CodeSandbox, Code Parcel may offer fewer features, integrations, and community resources.
  • Lesser Known Platform
Code Parcel has a smaller user base and community compared to competitors, which means fewer shared examples, templates, and community-driven support resources.
  • Limited Backend Support
The platform is primarily focused on front-end technologies, which limits its usefulness for developers who need to work with server-side languages or full-stack applications.
  • Dependency on Internet Connection
Being a fully browser-based tool, Code Parcel requires a stable internet connection to use, making it unsuitable for offline development scenarios.
  • Potential Storage Limitations
As a smaller platform, there may be limitations on the number of projects or the amount of code you can store, which could be restrictive for heavy users or larger projects.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing EasyCalcs.app and Code Parcel.

What makes your product unique?

EasyCalcs.app's answer

Everything runs in the browser. There's no backend, so the numbers you type — salary, savings, weight, due date — never leave your device. That also means it works with no connection at all once loaded, and there's nothing to sign up for. The other difference is that every tool shows the formula it used, not just the answer, so you can check the result instead of trusting it. The zakat section is the clearest example: it explains the nisab thresholds and what counts as zakatable wealth rather than hiding it behind a single output box.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

EasyCalcs.app's answer

Most calculator sites are heavy with ads, interstitials and trackers, and many ask you to create an account for anything beyond the basics. EasyCalcs loads fast, has no signup, no paywall and no data collection, and can be installed to a home screen to work offline. It's also genuinely multilingual — 8 languages including Arabic, Urdu, Hindi and Indonesian, not just an auto-translated shell — and it covers a few things larger sites handle poorly, like zakat and Hijri date conversion. If you want one tool, quickly, with no friction, that's the case for it.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

EasyCalcs.app's answer

Ordinary people answering a one-off question rather than professionals doing repeat analysis — someone comparing a mortgage offer, checking a BMI, working out a discount at a till, calculating GPA or marks percentage before results day, or figuring out zakat during Ramadan. There's a strong secondary audience of users in South Asia, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, which is why the zakat, Hijri and multilingual tools exist. Mobile-first, often on slower connections.

What's the story behind your product?

EasyCalcs.app's answer

It started from the frustration of looking up a simple calculation and landing on a page buried in ads, popups and 1,500 words of filler before the input box. The idea was a site that does the opposite: answer first, explanation underneath, nothing between you and the tool. Once the first few calculators existed, the client-side-only approach became the guiding constraint — no server means no data to leak and no reason to ask anyone to sign in. It's built and maintained by one person, and stays free.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

EasyCalcs.app's answer

Plain HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript — no framework and no build step, which is what keeps pages small and fast. It's a Progressive Web App with a service worker for offline use and home-screen install, and a custom lightweight internationalisation layer for the 8 languages. Hosted as static files on Cloudflare Pages. All calculation logic runs client-side; there is no application server or database.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

EasyCalcs.app's answer

Leave this one blank. EasyCalcs is a free consumer tool with no customers, and SaaSHub shows these answers publicly on comparison pages — inventing or padding a customer list is the kind of thing that gets a listing rejected on review, and it's the exact category of mistake that nearly sank the AlternativeTo submission. An unanswered question costs nothing; a fake one costs the listing.
