Easy-VET.eu 5 features
Node.js 6 features
  • Cloud-based accessibility
As a cloud-based veterinary practice management solution, Easy-VET allows veterinary staff to access patient records, schedules, and practice data from any location with internet access, supporting multi-location practices and remote work flexibility.
  • All-in-one practice management
The platform integrates multiple essential functions such as appointment scheduling, medical records, billing, and inventory management into a single system, reducing the need for multiple disparate software tools.
  • European market focus
Being designed with European veterinary practices in mind, the software likely accommodates region-specific regulations, languages, and billing standards, making it a good fit for clinics operating within Europe.
  • User-friendly interface
The software is marketed as 'easy' to use, suggesting an intuitive interface designed to minimize training time for veterinary staff and reduce the learning curve when transitioning from other systems.
  • Client communication tools
Many modern vet management platforms like Easy-VET typically include features for client reminders, appointment confirmations, and communication tools that help improve client engagement and reduce no-shows.
  • Asynchronous and Event-Driven
Node.js uses an asynchronous, non-blocking, and event-driven I/O model, making it efficient and scalable for handling multiple simultaneous connections.
  • JavaScript Everywhere
Developers can use JavaScript for both client-side and server-side programming, providing a unified language environment and better synergy between front-end and back-end development.
  • Large Community and NPM
Node.js has a vibrant community and a rich ecosystem with the Node Package Manager (NPM), which offers thousands of open-source libraries and tools that can be integrated easily into projects.
  • High Performance
Built on the V8 JavaScript engine from Google, Node.js translates JavaScript directly into native machine code, which increases performance and speed.
  • Scalability
Designed with microservices and scalability in mind, Node.js enables easy horizontal scaling across multiple servers.
  • JSON Support
Node.js seamlessly handles JSON, which is a common format for API responses, making it an excellent choice for building RESTful APIs and data-intensive real-time applications.

Possible disadvantages

  • Callback Hell
The reliance on callbacks to manage asynchronous operations can lead to deeply nested and difficult-to-read code, commonly referred to as 'Callback Hell'.
  • Not Suitable for CPU-Intensive Tasks
Node.js is optimized for I/O operations and can become inefficient for CPU-intensive tasks, slowing down overall performance due to its single-threaded event loop.
  • Immaturity of Tools
Compared to more established technologies, some Node.js libraries and tools still lack maturity and comprehensive documentation, which can be challenging for developers.
  • Callback and Promise Overheads
Managing asynchronous operations using callbacks or promises can lead to additional complexity and overhead, impacting maintainability and performance if not handled correctly.
  • Fragmented Ecosystem
The fast-paced evolution of Node.js and its ecosystem can lead to fragmentation, with numerous versions and libraries that may not always be compatible with each other.
  • Security Issues
The extensive use of third-party libraries via NPM can introduce security vulnerabilities if not properly managed and updated, making applications more susceptible to attacks.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Easy-VET.eu and Node.js.

What makes your product unique?

Easy-VET.eu's answer

Easy-VET is the only veterinary practice management software that includes AI in every plan — even the free
one. Competitors charge 30-60% extra for AI features. Built specifically for the European market with local
language support (Romanian, English, Greek, Serbian) and EU-hosted infrastructure for full GDPR compliance.
The platform combines professional-grade features with the most accessible pricing on the market, starting at 0 EUR/month with a permanent free plan (not a trial).

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Easy-VET.eu's answer

Three concrete reasons: (1) Total cost — Easy-VET is 3-5x cheaper than international alternatives like Provet Cloud or ezyVet, and 30-50% cheaper than regional competitors like SoftVet or Digitail. (2) AI included by
default — voice-to-text SOAP transcription, diagnostic assistance, and automated documentation are built-in at no extra cost. (3) Permanent free plan with full feature access for solo practitioners — no credit card
required, no time limit, no feature lockouts. Add to that a dedicated pet owner mobile app, 24-hour offline capability via PWA, and setup in under 24 hours.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Easy-VET.eu's answer

Solo veterinary practitioners and small-to-medium clinics with 1-10 doctors, primarily in Romania, Greece, Cyprus, and Serbia. Our typical user is a clinic owner who is currently managing appointments on paper or
Excel and wants to digitize without committing to expensive enterprise software. Easy-VET also serves
cabinets transitioning from outdated desktop solutions to modern cloud-based workflows. Pet owner-facing
features make it suitable for clinics that want to differentiate through better client experience.

What's the story behind your product?

Easy-VET.eu's answer

Easy-VET was built to solve a real problem in the Eastern European veterinary market: clinics were stuck choosing between outdated desktop software from the 2000s or expensive international cloud platforms costing 250-400 EUR per month. As a solo developer with a deep interest in healthcare digitization, I built Easy-VET end-to-end to deliver enterprise-grade features at prices a small clinic can actually afford. AI was
integrated from day one — not bolted on later — to make modern documentation accessible to every practitioner, not just large hospitals.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Easy-VET.eu's answer

Frontend: Vue 3 with Composition API, Tailwind CSS, and PWA capabilities for offline functionality. Backend: Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Functions, Authentication, Storage). AI: Claude by Anthropic for medical transcription and diagnostic assistance. Mobile: Native iOS and Android apps for pet owners. Marketing site: Next.js 15 with App Router, deployed on Vercel. Integrations: Google Calendar, Web2SMS for SMS notifications, e-Factura for Romanian electronic invoicing.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Easy-VET.eu's answer

Easy-VET launched in December 2025 and is currently in early adopter phase, onboarding pilot clinics across Romania. We're prioritizing close partnerships with our first cohort of customers to refine the platform based on real-world feedback before scaling broadly.
