Drefly is a free toolkit combining screen recording, video, PDF, image, downloader, and AI file processing in one place, with Word and Excel support. At drefly.pro, users record their screen, convert video to MP4, WEBM, and MOV, merge, compress, split, and edit PDFs, and resize and convert images, without signup or install, since everything runs online. Drefly also extracts media from post URLs and offers AI summarization, translation, and content restructuring.
At record.drefly.pro, every recording gets an automatic transcript, summary, chapters, and translation into dozens of languages, plus a scan reading on-screen text, not just speech. Recordings share with a PIN, with a choice of which AI insights to include. Viewers comment with pinning and reporting, synced live to the owner. Downloads go up to 4K in MP4, MOV, MKV, FLV, AVI, WEBM, or GIF.
The same toolkit serves companies at developer.drefly.pro, built for customer calls, support, bug reports, and demos, with the option to connect a company's own storage bucket so recordings save directly there.
Drefly's core strength is PDF tools: converting pages to PNG or JPG, merging images into a PDF, combining or splitting PDFs, compressing while preserving readability, rotating and reordering pages, annotating for sharing via WhatsApp, Slack, email, or X, and extracting images into a zip.
Drefly also turns Word into PDF and back, exports Excel as print ready PDF, pulls tables from PDF into Excel, and flattens slides into PDF.
Use cases: converting a contract to PDF, compressing a presentation before emailing, summarizing long reports, translating PDFs with a downloadable result, and pulling structured JSON from PDFs.
Everything runs online with just a connection and a compatible device, no downloads or installs. Select a tool, upload a file, get the output right away. More at blog.drefly.pro.

Drefly.pro's answer
It started as a weekend project after one too many "images to PDF" tools demanded a signup or a paid plan for a task that should take five seconds. The first version did exactly that one thing, on a single page, with no login. It kept growing tool by tool - added whenever a real task needed one - into today's full toolkit, still maintained the same way: as a focused side project, not a company with a roadmap.
Drefly.pro's answer
Anyone who needs a quick file task done - converting, compressing, or editing a PDF, image, or video - without creating an account or paying for a one-off job. That covers everyday users, students, and small teams, as well as developers and indie hackers who want a no-friction tool for a task they don't want to build themselves.
Drefly.pro's answer
drefly.pro puts PDF, Office, image, video, downloader, and AI tools under one roof - no signup, no payment walls, and no artificial file size or count limits. Most tools process your file server-side and discard it afterward; a few (Crop Video, Clip Video, Reel Maker, Record) run entirely in your browser so the file never leaves your device. On the AI tools, you can also bring your own API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google), which stays local to your browser and is never stored on our servers.
Drefly.pro's answer
Most file-tool sites gate basic features behind a signup, a "pro" tier, or ads. drefly.pro is free end to end - every tool, every time, no account required and no cap on file size or count beyond your own device and connection. It's also broader than most single-purpose converters: PDF, Office, image, video, downloader, and AI tools in one place instead of five different sites.
Drefly.pro's answer
drefly.pro is a lightweight web app built with modern, widely used web technologies on the frontend and a Python based backend, deployed on standard cloud infrastructure. The focus has been on keeping things fast and simple rather than adding unnecessary complexity.
