During my college days I used to use Drawio to draw wireframes and flowcharts. When I found that there is a VS Code extension that allows me to do it in the IDE it was a no brainer. I have found it is also useful whenever I am screen sharing to use it as a whiteboard during meetings. All you have to do is create a new file with the .drawio extension and you're off to the races. Bun provides native MySQL, SQlite, and Postgres drivers. I'm not saying Node should support every db in existence but the ones I listed are critical infrastructure at this point. When using Postgres in Node you either rely on the old pg which pulls 13 dependencies[1] or postgres[2] which is much better and has zero deps but mostly depends on a single guy. I really want to use pipelining for our "em.flush" of sending all INSERTs & UPDATEs to the db as part of a transaction, b/c my initial prototyping showed a 3-6x increase: https://joist-orm.io/blog/initial-pipelining-benchmark/ If you're not in a transaction, afaiu pipelining is not as applicable/useful b/c any SQL statement failing in the pipeline fails all other queries after it, and imo it would suck for... - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
