DownloadMapImage started from a simple frustration. Google Maps and Street View make it easy to view panoramic imagery, but not to save it. Existing tools only captured flat screenshots, losing the 360ยฐ nature of the original scene. This led to building a proper tile stitching pipeline that reconstructs full panoramas with correct metadata, then expanding the tool into a full ecosystem across web, browser extensions, and Android so users could access it however was most convenient.

In case you don't want to use a local database file or need something more precise than a city's long/lat, I used the openroutservice api for geo coding in one of my recent projects.
