Statently turns a bank or credit-card statement PDF into a clean, categorized CSV in seconds.

Upload a statement and download a spreadsheet-ready file with one row per transaction: Date, cleaned Description, signed Amount (money out negative, money in positive), running Balance, and a Category on every row.

Why people use it

  • Works with scanned statements โ€” it reads the page visually, so photographed and image-only PDFs work, not just digital ones.
  • No account, no subscription โ€” 3 free conversions to try it, then a one-time 50-conversion pack for $19 that never expires.
  • Private by design โ€” statements are processed in memory and never stored.
  • Import-ready โ€” consistent amount signs and clean descriptions mean the CSV drops straight into Excel, Google Sheets, QuickBooks, or Xero.

Who it's for

Freelancers, sole traders, small businesses, and bookkeepers who need statement data in a spreadsheet for taxes, expense tracking, or reconciliation โ€” without signing up for another subscription.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing DocParser and Statently.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Statently's answer:

Freelancers, sole traders, small-business owners, and bookkeepers/accountants who need transaction data out of PDF statements and into a spreadsheet or accounting tool โ€” for taxes, expense tracking, or reconciliation. People who convert statements occasionally and donโ€™t want a subscription.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Statently's answer:

Next.js (React, TypeScript) and Tailwind CSS, deployed on Vercel. Statement extraction uses Anthropicโ€™s Claude with native PDF input and structured outputs; Stripe for one-time payments; Upstash Redis for the credit balance. No PDF-parsing library โ€” Claude reads the document directly.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Statently's answer:

Most converters are either fragile (they break on scanned or multi-section statements) or sold as monthly subscriptions built for high-volume firms. Statently is pay-as-you-go: 3 free conversions to try it, then a one-time pack of 50 conversions for $19 that never expires โ€” no recurring fee and no signup. It handles scanned statements, categorizes every transaction, and never stores your file.

What makes your product unique?

Statently's answer:

Statently does one thing with zero friction: it turns a bank or credit-card statement PDF into a clean, categorized CSV in seconds โ€” no account, no subscription, nothing to install. It reads scanned and photographed statements (not just digital PDFs) by reading the page visually, and signs every amount consistently so the output drops straight into Excel, QuickBooks, or Xero. Statements are processed in memory and never stored.

What's the story behind your product?

Statently's answer:

Statently came out of a recurring, boring pain: copy-pasting bank statement PDFs into spreadsheets for taxes and bookkeeping always scrambled the columns and dropped the amount signs, turning a 5-minute task into an hour. Instead of building another heavy OCR pipeline, the whole extraction is a single modern-AI call that reads the PDF natively โ€” scans included โ€” and returns clean, categorized transactions. Itโ€™s deliberately small: one job, done well, no account required.
