Processing engine: Python, PyMuPDF, pikepdf, Tesseract OCR, python-docx, openpyxl, Pillow

Online tools: Flask on a dedicated private VPS in Germany (EU) — no third-party cloud APIs

Desktop app: Native Windows application using the same processing stack — fully offline, no COM automation

All processing is deterministic and local. No AI models, no external API calls.

Built after observing how often professionals unknowingly share documents with sensitive hidden metadata — revision history, author names, GPS coordinates from embedded images, internal comments.

Existing tools either stored files on the cloud or were too technical for non-developers. DocInspector was created to bridge that gap: powerful enough for compliance work, simple enough to use in seconds — no account, no installation required for the browser tools.
