Django REST framework VS MockAPI

Django Rest Framework seems like the most mature and works great with Django. But its strength, if I understand correctly, is for auto-creating all the necessary endpoints for manipulating models, which might be useful for data entry applications. There are Services like https://beeceptor.com/ or https://mockapi.io/ where you can fire your service against and define the answer you want. So you can trigger error responses for example.
