Some boilerplates do offer some choices - usually around the front end, which tends to be a manageable piece to bite off. Install Coolify (free, open source) on a VPS and deploy Memos from its catalog. You get a web UI and auto-updates, but Coolify itself wants ~2 GB of RAM, which is heavier than the app it is managing.
