As answered by people managing Dividend Data and DivNow.
DivNow's answer:
We combine multiple technical analysis signals — MACD crossover velocity, trend positioning relative to moving averages, divergence acceleration, and recovery pattern tracking — with dividend cycle timing to identify entries where the technicals and the cycle are both working in your favor. We monitor recovery patterns, filter for securities with fast historical recovery, and surface only the best dividend stocks for capture. The result is a more capital-efficient approach to dividend income and dividend investing. Not by capturing the dividend itself, but by optimizing around the price dynamics it creates.
We don't predict recovery. We measure which securities consistently recover, how fast, and whether the current technical conditions support a position. You decide whether to act.
DivNow's answer:
Individual investors interested in dividend income who want a more disciplined approach than buying based on yield alone. Our subscribers range from active traders who use dividend capture as one strategy among several, to income-focused investors who want to time their entries around ex-dividend dates rather than buying blindly. They value data over opinions, prefer to make their own decisions, and don't want to spend hours screening stocks every week. The common thread: they understand that when you buy matters as much as what you buy.
DivNow's answer:
Most dividend tools fall into two camps: curated capture picks with no technical analysis (Dividend.com, diviStock, Fintel), or DIY alert platforms where you configure everything yourself (Custom Stock Alerts, Stock Alarm). DivNow bridges the gap — curated picks with a technical analysis overlay that no competitor offers. We don't just tell you a stock is going ex-div; we tell you whether the momentum conditions make it worth acting on. And it's pure email delivery — no dashboard to check, no app to learn. Open Monday's email, see what's worth looking at this week, decide and act through your own brokerage.
DivNow's answer:
DivNow is a web-based alert service — no app to install. Our server retrieves daily closing prices and dividend data for 200+ securities across 16 sectors from licensed market data providers. We run proprietary multi-signal technical analysis including MACD crossover detection, 120-day moving average positioning, momentum acceleration tracking, and historical recovery pattern analysis. Securities approaching their ex-dividend date are filtered through these signals and ranked by capture potential. Qualified alerts are delivered via email twice weekly.
DivNow's answer:
DivNow grew out of a personal dividend tracking tool I built for managing my own portfolio across multiple brokerage accounts. While analyzing my holdings, I noticed that combining MACD signals with dividend cycle timing consistently identified better entry points than yield screening alone. I backtested the approach across 5,000+ trades over 7 years of market data — including the 2020 crash and 2022 bear market — and the results held: 68% win rate, profitable in every market regime. I built DivNow to automate that analysis and share it with other dividend investors who want the same edge without doing the math themselves.
DivNow's answer:
DivNow is a newly launched service building its initial subscriber base. We're currently in a beta validation phase with early adopters providing feedback on alert quality and signal accuracy. We don't disclose individual subscriber information.
