Most React screens tangle three unrelated concerns inside components:

  • how the screen behaves (validation, conditional fields, cross-field rules),
  • where its data comes from (loading, caching, mutations),
  • and how it looks (JSX). As the screen grows, these three parts braid together until any change touches everything. On top of that, the complexity of dependencies, useEffects, custom hooks and contexts keeps growing โ€” and the screen ends up monolithic, unpredictable and hard to test.

This all worked fine as long as we wrote the code by hand โ€” we'd learned to write reasonably good React, and even though sometimes a single button took 3 components and a couple of hooks, we had the time and the means to decompose the complexity and manage it effectively.

But today we increasingly don't want to read the code we get from AI โ€” we're losing control. In some systems that loss of control is acceptable enough: "well, it works", e2e tests to the rescue.

AI is bad at architecture, but it's great at filling declarative slots. Palistor removes the architecture task itself โ€” all that's left is filling in the config by the rules. That's why generated code can't fall apart: there's nowhere to go wrong, and reviewing it means reviewing one flat object instead of a tree of useEffects.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Dirigible and Palistor.

What makes your product unique?

Palistor's answer:

Palistor is the world's only framework that cleanly splits the frontend into two distinct layers โ€” a configurable business-logic layer and a pure presentation layer. It's an industry first.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Palistor's answer:

With Palistor you can decouple presentation from business logic, refine your design in greater depth, and build richer logic โ€” all because streamlining complexity frees up your resources.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Palistor's answer:

New projects that haven't yet settled on a frontend technology, that can afford to innovate for the sake of a future edge in beauty and manageability, and that are built with artificial intelligence.

What's the story behind your product?

Palistor's answer:

Palistor is developed and used by Yuri Palienko across his projects kvartly.com and pali.rent, where it's proven to be a strong fit for the job. It was born out of the sheer complexity of pali.rent, whose UI changes depending on the vehicle type and country โ€” producing enormous variability that traditional approaches model very poorly.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Palistor's answer:

Palistor is built on vanilla JavaScript/TypeScript and uses the Proxy object to drive granular rendering. It has zero dependencies, and its entire codebase is openly readable on GitHub.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?
