What makes your product unique?

Prowlo's answer:

Prowlo is built as a memory, not a notification feed. Most Reddit tools send a stream of keyword alerts. Prowlo turns the sources you choose into a persistent, semantically-searchable Dataset your AI agent queries by meaning over MCP.

  • Watchers-as-memory. A Watcher crawls only the subreddits, accounts, and keywords you pick, filters out noise, and embeds every surviving post into a Dataset that builds up over time. Your agent searches it by meaning, cites it, and dedupes across calls.
  • No Reddit API dependency. Prowlo runs its own hosted crawl, so it kept working after Reddit blocked unauthenticated access in May 2026. No API credentials, no per-call fees, no scrapers to maintain.
  • One schema across networks. Reddit, X, Hacker News, Mastodon, and RSS all return the same typed JSON, so adding a source never breaks your agent.
  • Agent-native and read-only. Built for Claude, Cursor, and Cline over MCP. It finds, ranks, and analyzes. It never posts.

What's the story behind your product?

Prowlo's answer:

I build automated content pipelines for clients, and over time I got good at one specific thing: pulling signal from real, live discussions instead of stale datasets. The hard part was never the AI model. It was everything before it. Ingesting the data, filtering out the noise, and making it searchable by meaning. Not every developer wants to learn how a vector database works or how to wire up embeddings, and once you add proxies and CAPTCHA solvers on top, a "simple" scraper quietly turns into a maintenance project.

So I decided to solve that part once, properly, and turn it into a tool.

It took three tries to get right:

  • v1 was just an n8n workflow, duct-taped together for my own projects.
  • v2 looked more like a product but was, honestly, AI slop. I leaned too hard on what Claude told me to build and ended up with yet another Reddit lead-gen app.
  • v3, the current version, came after advice from experienced founders. I stripped it back to the essentials, cut the features nobody needed, and made the whole thing operable by an AI agent. The agent can manage and use every part of Prowlo, not just pull data out of it.

This is the setup I run for my own projects today. Paired with Claude or any MCP agent it is genuinely easy to work with, and for a solo founder like me it opens up a lot that used to take a whole team.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Prowlo's answer:

Alert tools (F5Bot, Syften, Octolens) deliver keyword hits to a human inbox, and some now bolt an MCP endpoint on top. Prowlo is the other way around: an agent-first data layer where the persistent, embedded Dataset is the product.
