What makes your product unique?

FixMyExport is built specifically to turn messy Snapchat Memories exports into properly organized photo and video libraries. It restores missing GPS metadata, preserves capture dates, automatically merges separated overlays, removes duplicates, and processes large libraries in batches.

Unlike cloud-based tools, processing happens locally on the user's computer by default, so personal photos and videos never pass through FixMyExport's servers. It has been tested with libraries exceeding 1 TB and 64,000 files.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

FixMyExport is a native desktop application for Windows and macOS, including both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.

The application uses native, multi-threaded file processing for handling large photo and video libraries efficiently. It works with EXIF and IPTC metadata, processes formats including JPG, PNG, HEIC, MP4 and MOV, and can optionally integrate directly with Google Drive and Dropbox for cloud uploads.

FixMyExport was created around a simple problem: exporting years of Snapchat Memories often leaves users with multiple ZIP files, missing location metadata, separated overlays, duplicates, and a lot of manual organization.

Instead of requiring users to fix thousands of photos and videos individually, FixMyExport automates the process. It reads Snapchat's Memories metadata, matches it with the exported media, restores missing GPS information, preserves dates, merges overlays, removes duplicates, and produces a clean library that can be imported into normal photo applications.

The goal is simple: make leaving Snapchat with your memories intact much easier.
