LightRoll was created around a simple tension: Apple Photos makes it easy to accumulate a large library, but cleaning it up can feel risky when an automatic tool decides what should disappear. The app gives that decision back to the user through a finite review queue, size-based prioritization, keyboard controls, and explicit batch confirmation. Its local-first design keeps the workflow on the Mac.

You review photos and videos one at a time, keep what matters, mark the rest, and inspect the complete batch before confirming. The workflow stays local on your Mac and requires no account.
