The tools are designed for manual, interactive use in the browser and do not offer APIs or CLI integrations that would allow developers to automate repetitive tasks in their workflows.
  • Limited customization options
Users have limited ability to customize tool behavior, save preferences, or configure default settings since there is no account system or persistent configuration.

  • Learning Curve
Despite its user-friendly interface, the sheer number of features and tools can be overwhelming for new users, leading to a steep learning curve.
  • Windows-Only
GoldWave is primarily designed for Windows, limiting its accessibility for users who are on macOS or Linux.
  • Dated UI

  • Need help in finding some very specific audio software
GoldWave (for Windows) had a Speech Converter tool that does text-to-speech and speech-to-text. It uses the Windows Speech API, so it probably won't be as good as Google. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Questions around using waveforms and creating tones.
The Goldwave application has an equation evaluator that will generate a waveform. Source: almost 4 years ago
  • Audio Editing/EQ Apps?
GoldWave should be able to do that. It doesn't support saving the audio back into the video file, but will save it to a separate audio file. Source: over 4 years ago
