Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing DEV.to and ServerMO.

What makes your product unique?

ServerMO's answer:

ServerMO stands out with global reach, raw performance, and enterprise-grade reliability. Unlike typical hosting providers, we deliver truly unmetered bandwidth (1Gbps to 100Gbps), backed by premium DDoS protection, low-latency fiber networks, and robust Intel/AMD-powered bare metal servers. Whether you need high-performance GPU servers, massive storage, or secure colocation, ServerMO scales with your needs across 250+ global locations. We donโ€™t just rent servers; we engineer uptime, power, and control for businesses that refuse limits.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

ServerMO's answer:

ServerMO isnโ€™t just another server providerโ€”weโ€™re your infrastructure partner. While competitors offer basic hosting, ServerMO delivers high-performance dedicated servers, GPU solutions, and unmetered bandwidth across more than 250 locations on six continents. What sets us apart?

-Scalable power: From startups to enterprises, our Intel and AMD bare-metal servers handle any workload.

-True global reach: Low-latency connectivity in key data hubs worldwide.

-No hidden limits: Transparent pricing, unmetered bandwidth, and customizable hardware.

-Real support: 24/7 expert assistance that acts as an extension of your team, not a scripted call center.

-Built for growth: Colocation, IaaS flexibility, and edge-ready deployments for modern businesses.

Choose ServerMO when youโ€™re done compromising on speed, uptime, or support.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

ServerMO's answer:

ServerMOโ€™s primary audience is made up of performance-driven businesses, developers, and enterprises who demand more from their infrastructure.

We serve a wide range of clients, including:

-Tech startups that need fast deployment and global scalability.

-Game developers are looking for high-speed, low-latency servers.

-Enterprises requiring custom, secure, and powerful dedicated environments.

-IT agencies and hosting resellers seeking reliability with room to grow.

-SaaS/IaaS platforms that rely on 24/7 uptime, unmetered bandwidth, and rock-solid hardware.

Whether it's for running large-scale applications, deploying custom software, or hosting mission-critical workloads, our audience values performance, uptime, flexibility, and responsive support, and thatโ€™s exactly what ServerMO delivers.

What's the story behind your product?

ServerMO's answer:

ServerMO began in 2005 with one mission: to deliver powerful, reliable hosting solutions without compromise.

Back then, server infrastructure was expensive, slow to deploy, and full of limitations. We saw an opportunity to change that. Starting with a small team of network engineers and system admins, we focused on building high-performance dedicated servers that could be deployed fast, customized easily, and scaled globally.

Over the years, ServerMO has expanded to over 250+ global locations across 6 continents, delivering bare-metal dedicated servers, colocation, GPU-powered infrastructure, and unmetered bandwidth all backed by enterprise-grade security and 24/7 support.

Our growth has been fueled by a single promise: putting customers first with transparent pricing, cutting-edge hardware, and scalable infrastructure designed to grow with your business.

From startups to global enterprises, ServerMO continues to power the internetโ€™s most demanding workloads.

  1. It is a nice mini-blog, it's for free and such but

As a mini-blog, it is a nice alternative for Medium to publish and share information about programming.

However, the community and the organization are biased toward social justice (and they are open to it). You can read its Code of Conduct, it is so vague and politically leads (I prefer a term of service because it defines fair rules for everybody). So it alienates developers that we don't care about politics in pro of people that want to talk about any other topic such as sexuality, how women are unprivileged, and such. It even mandates to use inclusive language. Good grief.

My main complaint is the quality of the community. It is not StackOverflow (so we don't want to ask for an answer here), and most of the top topics are clickbait, such as "how to become a rockstar developer in ... days", "100 tips to become a better programmer" (and it doesn't even talk about programming).

Technically this "mini blog" site allows us to use markdown, and it is okay. However, the whole experience is really basic. Even the template is ugly.
