As answered by people managing DEV.to and InvertMate.
InvertMate's answer:
InvertMate is the only app built specifically for invertebrate keepers. It covers tarantulas, scorpions, mantids, millipedes, centipedes, and beetles with dedicated molt tracking, feeding schedules, growth journals, and a species library with care requirements for hundreds of species. No other pet care app goes this deep into invertebrate husbandry.
InvertMate's answer:
Most pet care apps are designed for cats and dogs. InvertMate is purpose-built for the invertebrate hobby with features like molt cycle tracking, enclosure condition monitoring (temperature, humidity), weight and growth charts, photo timelines, and collection analytics. It's completely free with no ads.
InvertMate's answer:
Invertebrate keepers and hobbyists who own tarantulas, scorpions, praying mantids, millipedes, centipedes, or beetles. Ranges from beginners with their first tarantula to experienced collectors managing dozens of animals. Most are active in online communities like Arachnoboards, Reddit, and Facebook groups.
InvertMate's answer:
InvertMate was built by an indie developer and invertebrate keeper who couldn't find a decent app to track his own collection. Existing pet apps didn't support molt logging, enclosure conditions, or species-specific care data. So he built one from scratch, tailored to how invertebrate keepers actually care for their animals.
InvertMate's answer:
Swift and SwiftUI for iOS, with Core Data for local storage. The app is native to iPhone and iPad.
